Q. What are your opinions? Vegans in particular.. I am not talking about today. Today it is very easy to not need any animal products to live a healthful life. I am talking about before humans farmed crops and when it was difficult to come by enough non-animal food to survive. What are your opinions, and what would you do in this situation? Would you hunt? I am not trying to make a point, I am vegan, and I have thought over this and feel that what it comes down to is that we CAN do without, so we SHOULD do without!.. if it means not causing suffering. Logically, this is similar to a "What if " question where the answers are merely speculations and anything is possible..Besides, in your scenario, food was whatever, whenever and however it can be found. I don't think the concept of veganism is even practical during a time when people die of old age at 28 years. Or women can be bought as "wives" or animal pelts were used as a currency. Since the US and other Western countries are hardly the global standard of how people live, it is really quite ignorant and perhaps even cruel to say people do not have to eat meat. Especially to those who do not have to answer the question "What am I allowed to eat.." but "Is there anything to eat at all?
