How much fuel is left to sustain the whole world?
Q. Fuel, in all forms, has been used since ancient times, right? In putting fuel of every form into consideration, namely: fossil fuel, geothermal, electric, hydroelectric, coal, wood, oil, etc..., How long could all these energy sustain Earth? In a few years? In a few centuries? In a few millenia? How long?

A. Hydroelectric, geothermal, wood, tidal, wind and solar are renewable to we'll never run out of them, though fossil fuels are needed for their construction presently. The US has enormous amounts of coal, tar sands and oil shale, in addition to oil reserves we haven't even measure due to environmental concerns. Canada's Athatabasca area has tar sands containing 1.3 Trillion! barrels of oil, equal to the total amount mankind has ever use to this date. Technology will eventually let us access the oil under the Arctic Ocean, the UN estimates there is about 10 billion tonnes there. Given all of the above the answer is C, we need never run out of energy. Once the day of Peak Oil finally arrives, we'll only be using petroleum to make plastics and… [cont.]

Can cleaning the fuel injectors cause lower fuel economy?
Q. Just after getting my fuel injectors cleaned in my Honda a while ago, my fuel economy has gone down.

A. Absolutely not (if they did it properly). How much did you pay and what kind of fuel service did they perform. Sounds like they put one of those bottles from autozone instant results for ten dollars, this will clean your injectors and perform miracles.

How do you disconect the fuel lines from the gas tank on a 91 Mercury Grand Marquis?
Q. I am trying to remove the gas tank so I can use the car in a demolition derby. I have dropped the tank, but it is still dangling because the two fuel lines that go from the engine to the fuel pump are still connected. I have tried pulling and twisting as hard as I can, but I cant undo the connections. I would like to keep these fuel lines intact so I can still use them for the relocated tank.

A. Quick-connect (push type) fuel line fittings must be disconnected using proper procedure or the fitting may be damaged. There are two types of retainers used on the push connect fittings. Line sizes of 3/8 and 5/16 in. diameter use a hairpin clip retainer. The 1/4 in. diameter line connectors use a duck-bill clip retainer. In addition, some engines use spring-lock connections, secured by a garter spring, which require Ford Tool T81P-19623-G (or equivalent) for removal. You can get this at most Autozone stores.
